CUSTOMER REVIEW
I've had a chance to use this for three meals so far. I am happy with the build quality, the welds look good, the mesh of the screen seems higher quality than average meshes. I've used it for oven steaming in a 12" pan, and for a pizza idea we came up with last year for football season. I use a fairly wet pizza dough, and have found that my bottom crusts don't always get super nice and crusty. Using the Culina in conjunction with Lodge's Cast Iron big heavy pizza pan took care of that problem nicely. The little feet lift the pizza off the Lodge, but still allows all that heavy metal to radiate heat upward. I recommend a quick spray of cooking oil on the Culina and Lodge with an oil mist-er to make for easier cleanup. I attached two pictures showing the layout and air gap.of 3/4" between devices. Also, I found that the huge OXO silicone pancake flipper (good to 600F in the oven (!) works great as an easy to handle and store in a drawer quickee pizza slider.Since we do A LOT of pizza during sports season, It's back to Amazon to buy a second set of the Culina and Lodge pizza combo.
