I wanted something to keep my iced tea cold for road trips and although expensive this has been an excellent choice. I still have plenty of ice after 6 to 8 hours on the road which is just amazing to me. One of the real highlights of this mug over most other brands is that the inner cap comes completely apart for easy and thorough cleaning. I have had other travel mugs that ended up with a gross film in the cap area you just couldn't get rid of. One design note that may be important to some folks is that inner portion of this mug has a non-stick liner similar to a Teflon coating for easy cleaning. I know some people prefer not to have that including my wife and if you are one you can get the Zojirushi SM-KHE36NL that has the "Slick Steel" stainless steel interior as a nice option to avoid the non-stick style. So far I highly recommend this travel mug and will post updates if that changes.
