Other reviews cover the functionality of the kettle pretty well. I prefer my electric kettle for convenience, but wanted something pretty and dedicated to carbon filtered water, for the best possible tea. This stood out to me mostly because of its aesthetic, there is something ever so "scientific" about the way it looks in the pictures.



Unfortunately, the kettle which arrived isn't exactly the same; instead of using a sans-serif Helvetica for the logo (where it says "Whistling Kettle") and other text, it is a more casual - almost a handwriting style - font. Not *quite* Comic Sans, but close. To me, this drastically cheapens the look of the product -- if you are a font snob and looking to buy this kettle for aesthetics, watch out!
