This is actually Jim, Patty's husband, writing. I bought this mug after really loving one that I got about a year ago. It was delivered yesterday and I tried it the first time today. There is a big problem with the new one. The lid makes coffe taste like you are drinking it from a car tire. The rubber/plastic flavor it imparts is horrible. I soaked the lid in soapy water and rinsed with hot water to see if the flavor would go away. If anything it got worse. Something has truly gone wrong in the manufacturing process. Until they correct this i would avoid this product.
