We buy Scott toilet paper because it's septic safe which means it's good for the septic system and lessens the chance of clogs in the pipes because septic safe toilet paper breaks down more quickly than paper not designated as septic safe. This is our first house with a septic system. After experiencing clogs and expensive calls to the plumber, we switched to Scott brand and have been clog free ever since.



Added perfumes and dyes interfere with the bacterial activity in the septic tank; septic safe paper is free of those dyes and perfumes.

Thicker toilet paper can be a bit more "comfortable" to use, but the Scott extra soft is more than satisfactory. We like it a lot better than the Scott one ply 1000 paper that's so thin it feels like it might dissolve in your hand.



The price for this package of tissue paper is excellent, especially with the two dollars off coupon from Amazon. I checked prices in the local Safeway and discovered that even the Safeway brand paper is significantly more expensive per roll than this package deal on Amazon.



And when one considers "free" home delivery via Prime, this is a can't beat deal.
